Wait wait wait! That sounds an awful like the Riddle Mansion. You can't be serious?! No, he's still in Azkaban isn't he?
Ishtar replied:
*is confused* Riddle never was in Azkaban. He was in Albania, and at the moment, he's riding around on the back of Quirrell's head.

is it me, Or is the New Addams family home going to be located in Hangleton? Perhaps the former Riddle Mansion!? Brilliant twist there.

Renting out the home of a dark lord's parents? Oh my. I don't normally read crossovers, but you have me hooked. Lead on.

Wonderful, Perfect!
I really like the idea of werewolf reserves and I also really liked the way that you improved Remus's life.
I look forward to reading the next chapter very much.

I do hope that McGonagall gets around to whacking Dumbldore. Makes me wonder on which house you'll be sticking Wednesday, Pugsley and Harry into. Will Snape get a headache? Does this mean that Remus would be looking for other candidates for the reserve, once he gets back to England? I'm honestly surprised that the Addams doesn't have a second residence. Is Dumbldore going to get around to reading the fine print?
Ishtar replied:
Is that anything like Whack-a-Mole? Wait and see. Yes, Snape will have a seven-year-long migraine. Probably, or else he'll start a new Reserve for Europe - the Black Forest would probably be a good place. They might, it just hasn't been relevant so far. *looks shifty* He still hasn't figured out the implications of the large print yet ...

"The house" sounds like Grimmauld. Perfect place for the Addams to live. The dark little elf will be pleased. :)

Great chapter! I'm thinking that it wouldn't take much to swing McG around to being a secret supporter.
Are they going to be leasing the Riddle house? I'm not sure what to make of that. :-)
You forgot the second d in Charles Addams in the last sentence.
Thanks for sharing this with us.

Congratulations, you're the first to comment on that. Give yourself a cookie. I did that on purpose (just as I did not refer to him as "Charles Felonius Addams" in that passage), and all will be revealed eventually (I've been trying to find a way to work Family history in that did not require an infodump. I probably should have done it when Remus joined the family. *sigh*

Dumbledore is too used to the prestigous status of Hogwarts to understand that rich families in the US could quite easily prepare their children for any european private school they wanted to. As well as the fact that the US probably has many magical schools of their own. He is also too used to running Hogwarts like his own personal kingdom... Foolish old man.
I really enjoyed this chapter, especially the parts where McGonnagal discovered that Dumbledore set her up.

You know, I avoided reading this as I felt that two films watched several years ago wasn't much of a grounding in the Adams Family, but I am so glad that gave in and read it! Simply marvellous, very original. I'm glad that Pugsley isn't really a grinning idiot (was that something they made up for the films or something you altered for the fic?). I am looking forward to seeing more of the children and finding out how well they get along with the other children. I can't recall what your general attitude to Ron is, but it would be easy to turn him against Harry, especially if he gets sorted into Slytherin. Although with all the emphasis on loyalty, maybe he'll end up a Hufflepuff! Or maybe not.
My only complaint would be that the children of Charles Adams are not returning to England, they are going to Scotland or Britain. American fanfiction writers are very prone to forgetting that the UK is four separate countries, and that Hogwarts is in Scotland. But then they will be buying a house in an undisclosed location first, graveyard attached...
What are the odds on the Addams family ending up at Riddle House?

Nice, though I'm wondering when Thing will show up at Hogwarts and how the House Elves will respond...
More, soon, please.

Lovely, fun story :)
Nice to see that there are some who can out-plot Dumbledore, he needs to be reminded that there will always be someone better somewhere - and you just might stumble across that someone when you think you are the best.
On a different note: should you plan another grand Addams-Family-meeting, please consider having the Munsters (old b&w version if possible) attend the party - they would fit in so well into that strage family :)
Keep it up and thanks for sharing.
Ishtar replied:
I'm considering that ... and I can't believe I forgot to put them in the earlier party! D'oh! Well, I guess Herman couldn't get off work at the casket factory. I've always seen the Munsters as a more middle-class version of the Addamses, so they'll fit right in. Not everyone in the family is at the same social/economic level, after all. I'm thinking about a Sirius/Marilyn Munster pairing ... now I just have to find someone for Remus.

loved the 'negotiations' with DD - can't wait to see what the kicker is in the contract with only Morticia having signed.
thanks much

I'm looking forward to reading about the kids starting at Hogwarts! I wonder what Harry, Pugsley, and Wednesday will think of Snape and vice-versa?
Keep up the great work! I give you 5 stars!
