It would be interesting if Petunia ever accepted her position as an Addams.

Ah, thank you Thing!

"See, Harry, Pugsley’s playing! He likes you. So you just throw something back, and he’ll know you like him, too."

Observing Morticia with the children, one can see just how the Addams Family stays odd over the generations. It's all nuture.

I love how you describe the house and the family so well. And the smell of herb tea ;-)

"Who wouldn’t want to marry my daughter?" cried Gomez

Every father thinks it, but trust Gomez to say it.

"There might be spells on me?" Petunia practically squeaked.

"And your house," said Morticia, calmly. "If the people who murdered your sister came for Harry, you might be forced to defend him."

"Then let me sign this and get them off," said Petunia,

And that pictures exacly why Harry is better of with the Addamses.

"Gomez and Morticia licked each others’ thumbs clean."
You write them so beautifully, I can see them doing precisely that.

Petunia thinking about her life, I wonder how that will effect the Dursley family in the future. Dudley will be less spoiled and maybe now Harry is out of the house he will have a joynger sibling to share with and look out for. He might even learn to be responsible!

Will Petunia and Morticia keep writing? I think it would be wholesome for Petunia to hear an outsiders opinion on matters. Maybe Morticia will even be able to tease some magic out of her.

" ... I mean, what else was I supposed to do when I found a hand in bed with me?"

Oh, boy, what I could do with that line!!!

"How are the children today? Good heavens, we seem to have acquired an extra one! Where did that come from?"

Are you deliberately trying for all the double entendre you can get in this chapter??

Morticia’s lips tightened, and she pried Harry’s fingers out of his hair. "See, Harry, Pugsley’s playing! He likes you. So you just throw something back, and he’ll know you like him, too." She gave Harry a spoon and some egg, and carefully showed him how to fling it. Little Wednesday insisting on joining in, and soon that entire side of the table was covered in yellow goo and the children’s laughter rang to the rafters.

And who's going to clean that up, I wonder?

"It’s the safest way," said Morticia. "The idea is to betroth our daughter, Wednesday, to him, after which we will raise him in fosterage to be a fit partner for her. We will ensure that he is properly schooled in the use of his magic and trained to meet his destiny."

Although, I've heard that if you want two children to grow up to marry, it's not a good idea to raise them as though they were siblings... I'm taking this too seriously, aren't I?

Another great chapter, and I'm eager to go read some more! (BTW, I read some of the other reviews and saw your explanation of the term "Irish Twins.")

Petunia should have expected to be shocked with the Addams. Wonder if Petunia would be getting her just desserts soon? I'm a bit amused that Gomez have the guardianship papers and the betrothal on hand. Will this mean that the Addams could bribe Petunia with a wardrobe full of a lot clothes that flatter her? It's a down right shame, that the lesson that Morticia was trying to impress on her doesn't stick.

This is very good. I like the conversation with Morticia after Petunia left the party. It just might plant a seed in her mind about a better way to raise her son. I hope so anyway. I look forward to more of this story.
Thanks for writing. pms

Very nice and unique story. I like that the Addams family is not just plain weird but caring and noble. Also Petunia is both repulsed and attracted to them.

OUTSTANDING CHAPTER!!!! I loved it. This story gets better every time you update. As for your final authors note no I can't pick them out, however I can tell you this is the first ever Addams/Harry Potter fic I've ever hear or read. DO keep up the amazingly awesome and outstanding work

Its a very interesting idea, Harry being raised by the Addams Family. I would've never thought of it.

The way you portrayed Morticia was perfect to my recollection of her on the cartoon. The way she always seems so calm, so in control of her surroundings when strangeness is all that is always around her: you got it dead on. She and Gomez will make good parents for Harry.

Petunia looking pretty, I find that hard to imagine! The betrothal contract between Harry and Wednesday, that was totally unexpected.

Its a really great story, I hope you continue with it :)

After seeing the blip posted in the forums and now reading what you have written so far here I must say that this is definately one of my favorite crosses out there. I look forward to any future updates and can't wait to see what kind of experiences young Harry will have.

Great chapter ... I'm not getting my chapter's posted as fast as you are ... I am trying to write a head and THEN post ... to lessen the embarrassment of last years 2K insult that I caused myself.

You are doing exceptionally well with this story. I've decided to nickname you and Keith my Garden Gnomes and Bob and Alyx are my Snorkacks *LOL*

Along with your Royal titles of course.

I wonder what kind of changes to the Dursley's Petunia's time with the Addams Family will have caused Dudley in the future ... cause she is correct, he is a holy terror.

I am scared about how twisted Harry will become after all the time he spends with the Addams Family though ... this could get very interesting.

Glad to see Dumbles still knows nothing about this ... hehehehehehe

Take care and keep up the great work

As Always,
Muirnin - who is going back to cleaning and Writing. I'm not even going to start reading Keith's until I have time! (but you are worth it!) Keith can pout all he likes ... I love being a villan

Nice work making Petunia at least somewhat sympathetic in this. In a way, she seems to have really done better for Harry than she ever did in canon, even if it did seem like she abandoned him.

The betrothal contract was a nice touch. I suppose Wednesday is going to be managing him quite thoroughly - I almost feel sorry for Voldemort.

(I'm also reminded of the protagonist from Shaman King, and his childhood betrothal partner - who also seemed to end up managing him and also caring about him seemingly in spite of herself.)

I'm also looking forward to the changes this AU will make in Harry's personality.

This just gets better and better. I don't know which are the cartoon references, because i missed the cartoons while growing up.
Still looking forward to more of this story.

"Because we're Adamses!"

I'm really enjoying this rather original crossover. Can't wait to see more, and how growing up as an Adams affects Harry. Keep up the good work!

I'm curious if we're going to see Harry grow up, or if we're going to timeskip ahead to when he turns 11. I'm also curious about whether or not he'll be going to Hogwarts, and how the rest of the Adamses will be accompanying him. :)

Another excellent chapter in a fic I would never guess was being written under a time deadline!

I really like your style of using asides. They are a perfect counterpoint to emphasise the "unnaturallness" that are the Addams'.
