Brilliant!!
This is the first time I've seen a HP/Adams family crossover that is a one shot...
Can't wait to see where you end up taking this, I'm thoroughly enjoying it!!

I love this. It's so funny. I especially liked Petunia's makeover, Thing in her bed and the marriage contract. More please. Excellent chapters.

Nice story so far! I'm always a fan of the odd crossovers, I think my favourite was one I read a while ago that was crossed with The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy which was written by one of the authors on this site if I recall correctly.
Anyway, I like where this is going, and I can't wait for more :)

*grins* And now Harry is officially welcomed into the Addams family. Wednesday betrothed to Harry...so much potential there *snickers*. I wonder if Harry will become a mini-Gomez...I can just imagine the kind of girl problems he would have then; he'd probably have every female in Hogwarts flustered.
I'm looking forward to more!

Huh. Well, Harry's a wizard and the Addams are something else? That may prove to be weird for Wednesday to go to Hogwarts unless she ends up a witch.
Betrothal Contract: Huh. Well, I don't know if Gomez's argument makes sense (somehow, I don't have all that much education in that socio-political structure). If they're going through the entire guardianship procedure, why do a Betrothal as well? I'm sure you'll explain it eventually, but for the moment it's a "huh?" Or have I managed to miss the point entirely?
> then this will transfer those spells from you and your house to us and ours
Ooh, clever. Knowingly or not, they just invalidated AD's attempts to force Harry to stay at Privet Drive.
> "Shall I send Thing up to help you out of your dress?"
*spit-take* *cough*
Jeez, Ishtar, warn a guy before you spring surprises on us like that . . .
Fun story!

No, I have no freaking idea where you got the refrences from because I've only read a couple of the cartoons. All entertaining, but I didn't recognize any. And this angers me. Oh, well. I liked Thing, that was fun. I can't wait to see what happens. Seriously, I've got a bad case of anticipation. I wonder if there's a creme for that... Cheers.

I love this story! I watched the two Addams family movies when I was little, and just watched them again a few weeks ago (I had to rent them) and when I got the update for chapter two of this story, I was so excited! Thank you for managing to get in all the things I love about the Addamses, and I hope to see more!

I don't think I have ever seen a xcross with the Adams family story before but I must say you are doing a good job. Keep it up I can't wait for the next chapter.

Well I stayed up late to read this (After 8am) and it was worth it, excellent as always. I remain impressed by this story, it remains true to each series. There are several other compliments I'd like to give, but at the moment my sleep addled mind is unable to come up with them.

Well, I like the story and I can't wait how much Harry will change... However, can the adams family member use magic? I thought not? Or can they? I said in my previos review that i'm not an experct on the adams family, but if the characters are like the movies/cartoons then err well I think Harry will be more messed up then moody himself :p lol.
My final conclusion is more a question: why did you let her sign a marriage contract?
I mean surely, wendensay wont go to hogwarts so their relationship wont have any change to grow... Two months at home or ten at school... I think cho would get a better choice then.
what i'm trying to say that i think you made a mistake witht he marriage thing.
Keep up the good work.
Kenny
Ishtar replied:
While we don't see the Addamses doing wand-waving magic at any point, they are clearly magical. Grandmama, in whom it is most obvious, makes potions, rides a broom, and tells fortunes with cards. Not all magic in the HP-verse requires wands; only three out of the twelve classes taught at Hogwarts require wands. So I think it's entirely possible that the Addamses could be Squibs or less-powerful wizards.
Who says Wednesday isn't going to Hogwarts? *evil grin* Cho will be just too "normal" for Addams!Harry. Luna will fit right in, though.

I'm not much of an Addams family fan, however I am enjoying this very much. Thanks,

Yes, typical of Dumbledore to have a device watching over Harry that doesn't record.
My guesses for the cartoons
Lurch serving tea (the first Family cartoon I believe).
The decorated tree.
the references to the garden plants?
The kitchen? You said four, so if I got one wrong, maybe the two-headed pig. My, it's obviously been too long since I've read those. . . .

The tree, the "dreadful" urge to be merry, nasty weather that "makes you feel good to be alive", and the two-headed pig. I had forgotten Lurch serving tea, so that's five, I guess. (The first Family cartoon, BTW, was a Morticia with her hair up in an elaborate style being startled by a hairy, bearded Lurch and saying, "Oh, it's just you!" or some such. The character designs settled down soon after.)
Dumbledore was expecting that any alarm that went off would continue going off until he did something about it. He wasn't expecting something that could reset the wards.

Can't say much as it is, but I like it so far and hope to read a bit more of this in the near future.

My knowledge of the Addams family is more of the movies and a bit of the tv series and none of the cartoons, but I like what I saw and your story gets right in the middle of it. I can't wait to see how Snape will react to a Harry Addams and his way to deal with potions, leart from Grandmama.

I am familiar with the original Charles Addams cartoons as they appeared in the magazine (I can picture everything about the magazine but can't remember its name. Growing old gets to you, I guess). I've even scene the original TV series and both movies. Overall, I think you have done a remarkable job of remaining faithful to them all. I am really looking forward to the further adventures of Harry growing up among the Addams family. Keep up the great work... but then again, I've never known you to do less than great work.

I'd have to go digging for my collections of the cartoons to identify which ones you referenced, I think I'd rather spend my time enjoying reading.
I do like the way this story is progressing and I hope Petunia has learned a few things that'll help her. It might make a difference later on.
*snicker* It's a pity Dumbledore missed the evidence of the change of responsibility; he's obviously going to be so surprised when time comes to send out Harry's letter. *wicked smile* I do hope you do him proper justice there. ;)
