Transported to another world... better than the original. I'm so glad you learned the alphabet!

'"Call me Doc" Elmer Smith'... is his middle initial "E", by any chance?

I really like this fic, and I'm hoping you'll continue it soon. I really got a kick out of the fact that the optician, the 'lensman' if you will, was named Elmer Smith. Keep up the good work.

Laughed my head off at Harry asking Snape for his autograph. That's going to be an interesting lesson for sure.

I loved the meeting of Harry and Snape. Cannot wait for the next formal meeting

I'm really enjoying your story - it has a lot of elements that are interesting and creative. I especially liked the wall sequence at Grimmauld. I was seriously tempted to work something similar into a a story myself (Except it was Arthur experimenting with a muggle chainsaw.) Never got around to it, and now I don't have to.

Your pacing is excellent. I like the house elves; they're realistic without being annoying. I even like Peter - or rather, I don't *dislike* him. (Who knew?)

One problem - Hagrid comments on Harry looking like his father, with his mother's eyes - while he's still wearing the glamour. Unless giants can see through glamours, you may wish to change that a bit later on.

Until then, I look forward to reading more.

"Incredibly overprotective house elf bodyguards?"

"Check," said Nanny, popping in next to Harry.

ROTFLMAO!

"Yeh look a lot like yer dad, but yeh've got yer mum's eyes."

Doesn't he have a glamour disguising his eyes on right now?

Excellent chapter. Loved the signing with Snape.

Ch.7 - - Oh, what a delightful time.

Setting up Snape is just terrific. I hope it happens in the next chapter so I don't have to wait to see what happens.

For a second I though you might be setting it so Harry and Draco would be friends - YEECH!

Thsi is SOOOOOOOOOOO fine!

Woot! That was great, excellent job on the shopping trip. Damn jerky dumble's.....what a putz. Though I do see his worry. Oh well. Excellent job with the trip and how you brought hagrid in and gave malfoy a few more lines. Awesome job D!

I must say that this story is definately not what I had expected it to be. When I had read the summary I was imagining young Harry growing up alone with no one to see him. Having the elves still being able to see him was a delightful surprise.

I am looking forward to seeing how different the rest of the year will be with Harry coming to school with some knowledge of magic beforehand. I just hope that he isn't too different from canon. As long as he still has Ron and Hermione as his friends and still has the 'saving people' part of his personality I think this story will have great potential to becoming one of the best AU stories out there.

I also liked the deal with the Veil and Sirius' trip through it to find out about a little of what might have happened.

I am eagerly looking forward to reading more of this story.

Excellent chapter, To be honest I have to say that I thought the best part of the whole thing was harry asking snape to autograph his potions book...

Please keep up the excellent work!

Brilliant!!!

THis is a FANTASTIC story! I hope you update soon. Also, harry shouldn't go into Gryffindor. Maybe Hufflepuff (he's got community/team spirit!) or perhaps Ravenclaw or Slytherin. NOt Gryffindor. Make new friends, REALLY distinguish him. I also don't think he should inherently trust Dumbledore simply because Pettigrew doesn't, and he doesn't know DUmbledore. Canon Harry was desperate for approval and thus trusted Albus right off the bat.

Whoa ... what a cool story. I really am enjoying how you've characterized everyone. I like the idea of Peter being a ghost and helping teach Harry and the elflings.
.
Loved Diagon Alley. I am soooo looking forward to Severus' reaction when he finds out Remus' 'nephew' is really Harry Potter.
.
I'm looking forward to more, and if I can figure out how to do the story alert, I should be fine.
.
Thank you for a really fun story.

Great chapter. I have to admit, I wasn't too intrigued by the story to start off with. I nearly stopped reading during the first parts because I felt it focused on Peter's act of treachery too much (give him a break, all you authors out there, will ya?)
Now though, it turns into a story that redeems him, and this is a rare, refreshing development. People redeem Draco all the time, but Pettigrew? Fat chance.
On a random side-note, why the hell can't anyone spell the Fidelius charm right?! I've read so many variations on that spell name it isn't funny anymore. I commend you for being one of the few authors to get it right.

so long
