wow. WOW. it's now 2 am, but i just had to keep reading, even though i knew this was a WIP and hasn't been touched in a long while. you've started an absolutely brilliant story here, long, involved, with wonderful characters and a full plotline which promises much more to come. i adore your Harry - he's finally growing up, more in spite of the British adults than because of them, and meeting new people - i love that he's getting on with a Malfoy, and with Blaise Zabini.
please, if you have the time, drop me a note to say whether you're still working on this? if you are, even haphazardly, i'll keep it on my faves list and check back for updates every once in awhile. *g*
cheers, love it!

Hi
Just found your fics and I've really enjoyed the two I've read so far (this one and Family Values). I think you've captured this particular story very well...you've convinced me that Harry really feels the way he does in here...and I'd love to see all the editors/newspaper people/historians begging him for the truth. :) I know it's been a while since this one was updated, but I'd love to see more here!

I simply love this story. It's fun, complicated and has the potental to being really one of my favorites. I liked Two Bears, he reminded me of a teacher I had once or twice.

Hi-
This is a great tale, an extremely enjoyable read, even though it hasn't hit major plots yet, it's still a great read. It's too bad it doesn't look like it's going to get updated anytime soon.

Wow! Cool story! And for a change something really new! I never read a Harry-goes-on-exchange-to-USA story before. And it's really interesting, and has kept me reading until late at night. I like how you portray the characters. The ones we know from the book are in character, and the new ones seem real and three dimensional. I like the whole Bart Malfoy thing...a Malfoy, but apparently one that is not a jerk. Interesting. Intriguing. I also like how Wizarding USA is so different from Wizarding Britain, how some things we - and the characters - take for granted are different in the States. So far, apart from it taking place in an imaginary worl of course, it seems were real, and the action and reactions of the characters are realistic. All in all, a very good fic so far. I love it. And I look forward to reading what comes next, what will happen on Harry's America Trip. Will he continue to be in close contact with his Friends in Britain or will they talk less and less, even if they do not loose contact altogether? Will he grow close to anyone from the Hogwarts Team or an American student? Will he find out what 'the power the Dark Lord knows not' is? What will he learn of all the different kind of magics that they teach at the American schools? Will he perhaps even dabble in the 'Dark' Arts? When they discussed that topic in the Ethics class, Harry did not seem to be very opposed to it, like most of his classmates. And will he go to where Voldemort's mother told him to go? What will he find there? Will that, in the end, be that mysterious power? Or is that power something he already has, like the love, or the ability (given to him by his mum) to find friends? Ohhh, and that scene where he meets his parents again...wow. It had me crying at first. It was so totally surprising. And also so cruel that no one ever told Harry about this. I mean, it was clear that he was missing his parents and would like to get to know them. I get it that the Dursleys - if they even know about it - would never take him there...but Dumbledore or anyone in the wizarding world really...it seemed to be pretty common practice and knowledge that this Avalon existed. And that you can talk to the ghosts of the dead there. So why did no one deign to tell Harry about it?
Well, I've got lots of questions, as you can see, and I can hardly wait to read the next chapters. Keep up the good work!! And thanks for this amazing story.

Dorothy, I hope that the muse wakes up soon on this story as it is too good to go to waste. I still want to know what will happen on Harry's vision quest. Whay did Tom's Mom want to give to Harry. Maybe the Slytherin Grimold(sp?).
Thaank you for writing such wonderful stories ans sharring them woth us.

Ooh, I like this. Definitely interesting. I like the ethics bit, with Harry basically shooting down every supposed good point the Ministry has. Very nice.

There really aren't enough good things I can say about this fic. J.K's books have captured the imaginations of millions of people but when I read fanfiction that is this good I realize just how two dimensional they are and while they may be painted with vibrant colors but works like this actually have texture. Your imagining of the American Mage Community has been great so far but I have no idea how you are going to follow up with the rest of trip.

An absolutely fantastic story. You are an excellent writer. I have looked for a long time for a really good Harry goes to America story and here it is...however, you haven't updated this for quite some time and I'm concerned about that. Please, please take time to re-read you work, it's great, and become inspired again. I wonder what Harry's totem will be? I can't wait until he gets to his other schools and see what is he going to learn. Lots of fun to be had in this one. I will definitely be watching for an update...Please!

Really enjoyed this one. Hope that your muse visits this U again, though perhaps after the Addams.. :)
Like the questions from the American Teachers. I'm surprised Harry hasn't already gotten a list of books to get for Hermione started.

Well that just wasn't nice. Leaving me with a cliffhanger like that. But it was a good one, so I commend you for that. Usually, I see Riddle fighting for Grindelwald. Nice surprise. I'm enjoying the story, and hope you are going to continue it, specifically soon. Perhaps. Maybe. I hope.
