Did Dudley have a dream or was he under the Imperious Curse again? Where is the order that is supposed to be watching Harry? Sounds fishy to me. Thanks for writing. pms

OK. Harry is trying to figure out who the guy is that is tricking Dudley. He had a nice birthday as far as letters and presents go. Hermione is showing some interest! Ginny is looking forward to seeing him. Please continue! I like this so far. pms

OK. The plot thickens! There is a death eater a foot I think. Or at least someone with a different agenda! Thanks for writing. pms

Very interesting. A nice Dudley? One who thinks and is making new conclusions to things he thought he knew before.? No wonder Harry is confused. It will be interesting to see where this story goes. thanks for writing. pms

This is a great story. It is really interesting and I am looking forward to reading more. I love the exploration of the different cultures. It is really interesting to see how you've described native american magic. I look forward to seeing how you continue to explore this as well as the other american magical schools. Please write quickly!

I just spent nearly all night reading this and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being Australian, I don't know anything much about native American magic - I am finding it facinating to read. Is there a way to be notified of updates? I don't want to miss out! Thanks for all the work that has gone into this - I certainly appreciate it :)

Please, please, don't let this one become "Abandoned". It's much too good to go into the dusbin of abandoned stories.

I think you've got some great potential started in this story. It would be a shame to see it abandoned completely.
Perhaps you'd be able to offer a look at how the others are doing with the chance to the American schools rather than just Harry's eye-view?

Planning to rename Constance to Merope? I don't know if you could pull that off, though, since her father and brother were still alive when she died.
Ishtar replied:
No, Constance Marvolo will not become Merope Gaunt. This story was started pre-HBP and I'm not going to introduce horcruxes into it, although perhaps some characters like Scrimgeour may make it in.

"'Look, statistics show that one person in ten in Britain believes in space aliens, crop circles, and/or the Loch Ness monster. The fastest growing religions in this country are Witchcraft and the Jedi Knights. And don't even get me started about Elvis!'"
Crop circles and Nessie are in Fantastic Beasts, since when did the Jedi Knights become a religion, and I'll bet 'space aliens' and Elvis impersonators can be produced by magic.
"'Arthur, this is on the very cutting edge, where science and magic and spirituality all get mixed together and we really don't know what's going on.'"
Oh yeah. Love this. Update already.
Ishtar replied:
On the 2001 census in Great Britain, a large number of people wrote "Jedi Knights" as their religion in response to an internet sendaround that said it could be established as a legitimate faith if enough people chose it. This was not true, of course, but there were over 390,000 peope who went along with it and filled in "Jedi" on the "other" line (that made it the fourth-largest reported "religion"). A large number of others put down "Witchcraft" or "Wicca" on the "other" line as well. Neither of these is "official", but the number of people who selected these is interesting. If they were official, they'd be the fastest-growing faiths in the country. I took some liberties in predating this ... assuming that the Inspector is well-versed in the weirdos that populate the fringe culture. The joke was intended to show how even in the modern world, magic will find its way in.
Everything Agatha says about her cases, and the theory behind Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis, is typical of studies of the paranormal and quantum physics. I did my homework on this one. CSICOP may differ with me, but that's OK, I don't believe in them. *eg*
I'll try to update soon. I'm not happy with how long it's been, either.

I think I finally figured out what "Wizzywig" means. What You See Is What You Get. WYSIWYG. Am I right?
Ishtar replied:
That's what the computer term means, yes. The wizards (like Arthur) use the term for a wizard disguise (a "wizzy wig") - what you see is what you get unless you break the spell - like Ron with his apple/raisin. Harry's illusion wasn't good enough to stand up to Ron actually touching the fruit. (The first Muggleborn computer wiz that compared both terms probably spit butterbeer all over their keyboard ...) I rather enjoyed the play on words, and you're the first person who's commented! Yay for you!
