I just came across this fic and it's utterly delightful. I love the way you've worked in lot s of Addams Family details but without making it too over the top, and you've not only stuck to what we know about that series, but also included some new but perfectly in character material. And Harry and Pugsley helping Filch! Brilliant! I'm really enjoying this.

Oh, my goodness. This is wonderful - screamingly funny at times - I would love to see Wednesday and Professor McGonagall having a battle of wills.
Bravo!

Great story so far. Very amusing and original. Looking forward to more. I love the concept of Family the Addams have and its just the kind of care that Harry deserves.

HBP confirmed for me that Dumbledore was nothing more than a manipulative old man who uses people. He was also revealed to be a supreme hypocrite in his message that one should do what is right, not what is easy. It was awfully easy for the old bastard to drop Harry off into such a hateful home where he would grow up knowing only hatred and abuse. It certainly wasn't right .

In HBP, by his own words Dumbledore showed that he had known precisely how the Dursleys treated Harry:

"He has known nothing but neglect and often cruelty at your hands. The best that can be said is that he has at least escaped the appalling damage you have inflicted upon the unfortunate boy sitting between you."
...
"The magic I evoked fifteen years ago means that Harry has powerful protection while he can still call this house 'home.' However miserable he has been here, however unwelcome, however badly treated, you have at least, grudgingly, allowed him houseroom." (HBP 3)

If that isn't disgusting, then I don't know anything that ever could be. You can't just brush his actions off by saying that he had good intentions. There is a reason for that old saying about what paves the road to Hell. Dumbledore's so-called good intentions condemned an innocent child to "neglect and cruelty" for sixteen years. "Good intentions" certainly do NOT excuse his allowing the abuse to continue unchecked despite his knowledge of it.

I really enjoyed this story, enough so that I left a review which is not the norm. I would very much enjoy reading further into this plotline.
