Another great chapter.......I loved seeing Morticia and Gomez go from polite and willing generosity to " mess with our cub and you'll be history "!!!! Hmmmmm.....is it possible that the big dog Gomez is considering might look like a Grim and have a connection to Harry? And have a best friend named Remus? I suspect that if they found out how Sirus had been railroaded they'd help him. It was great to see and hear how Harry, Pugsley, and Wednesday have bonded! I wish that you'd shone the whole Santa Claus sequence though! And as for the American Aurors.....methinks they'll either tell Dumbledore to leave the family alone or place bets on what they'll do to him....chuckle! I'm looking forward to the next chapter with anticipation!

Do you know how much I love you? Seriously, this fic is original and creative. Most stories are one or the other. All of it is entertainig and as I have no idea about the geography of New Jersey, I'm just going to nod my head and agree with you as if I know what your talking about. So was the magical adoption paper (transferring wards, etc) not in that folder, did he not see it, or did he simply not notice it? Given the chapter title, I was expecting a bit more confrontation, but it was still a very good chapter. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I was expecting a bit more confrontation myself, but I realized if Dumbledore pushed it too far, Morticia and Gomez would have to kill him, and I still need him for a bit.

Excellent chapter. I was wondering if the Aadams had made the connectiion that Harry was being neglected and at least minorly psychologically abused, but if they have, they are still outwardly friendly with the Dursleys. I do believe that the next time Dumbledore shows up at the mansion will be the less cordial and more interesting one.

You're doing a good job of walking the thin line of weird and creepy versus just weird and evil that is the Addams family life.

As I remember it, Morticia was a witch and so was Wednesday (of course not in the HP sense) and Pugsely was either a spin off of Lester (whatever he may be) or werewolf (depending on what source you take).

Gomez always seemed to lean towards a Vampiric side, presenting the 'smooth operator' side you sometimes see in fiction about these creatures, but it never really came to the for. Am curious on your take about all of these.

Are you keeping to one source or are you just mixing them all up with your own sauce added?

I must say I'm particullarly looking forward to Harry's meeting with Hagrid and his assortment of beasts. Fluffy will indeed be only another fluffy pet to Harry. Hagrid may just about cry

As to Harry, I wonder how he'll end up. Who will his rolemodel be? Will he be like Gomez? A succes at everything, a passionate ladies man and a generous, bold man.

Or will it be Fester? Grandma? Morticia?

I think I'll vote Gomez. I can just see father and son, fencing around the house (from the cartoon), and Harry dazzling the Hogwarts ladies with a "Cara mia" and a hand kiss.

Loralee did some Addams Famiy drabbles, and I know Jeconais is working on one (an early version is posted over on the Forums) but his take on it is rather different from mine.   I also saw a fic over on ff.net, but it was abandoned before Harry even met the strange people who'd moved in across the street.   Pity.

Morticia's kind of vampish, and Wednesday is just a little girl.   Grandmama is a witch; she makes potions and flies on a broom.   Pugsley is a nascent Mad Scientist with a strong interest in explosions.   Gomez is Fire to Morticia's Ice - he's not very attractive in the cartoons, so my version owes more to Raul Julia, whose Gomez made my little heart go pitty-pat.

I'm mixing the cartoons, the show, and the movies, tossing them all lightly in my "special sauce" (thanks for the image!)   Living in the same area as Charles Addams  did helps - the whole place is weird.

OUTSTANDING CHAPTER!!!! I loved it. This story gets better every time you update. As for your final authors note no I can't pick them out, however I can tell you this is the first ever Addams/Harry Potter fic I've ever hear or read. DO keep up the amazingly awesome and outstanding work

Its a very interesting idea, Harry being raised by the Addams Family. I would've never thought of it.

The way you portrayed Morticia was perfect to my recollection of her on the cartoon. The way she always seems so calm, so in control of her surroundings when strangeness is all that is always around her: you got it dead on. She and Gomez will make good parents for Harry.

Petunia looking pretty, I find that hard to imagine! The betrothal contract between Harry and Wednesday, that was totally unexpected.

Its a really great story, I hope you continue with it :)
