Fascinating, three HUGE differences from the series, and a possible fourth, that should have some interesting long term ramifications. I rather liked Albus in this chapter, we got to see him as the interesting character he is. Great job, thank you.

Deeply weird, not to say intriguing. Since when is Sirius even slightly willing to trust Snape - by which I mean 'not A-K on sight'? I'd guess that with his best friend dead the paranoia would be in overdrive. State of the Longbottoms chilling but may we assume Alice is going to be OK. Loved Lockhart-as-Auror; I expect he was hopeless, wasn't he? KUTGW, hope the NaNoWriMo is still on track.

Yowza.
This fic, as you said, is moving AU. But I like it. Despite the little niggle wiggles of spelling (which are minor) I like it all.

The father in me screams for an adult to come along and help Harry. But if he's going to be raised by house elves, maybe that's a plus. Harry might just get the love he needs. I just feel sorry for Sirius and Remus. Maybe the house elves might think of them?
Loved Lockhart. Loved the auror stuff too.
Harry learning elf magic might be really fun. But with the underage magic usage thing going, maybe the ministry might catch on. :)

Good chapter. Will Peter ever come home? Will Harry ever meet his godfather again? Can we see the Dumbledores in action again? That was cool.

Sounds as if maybe the Mauraders and Snape might be making up. I also liked the Snape that you portray - more adult and not as slimey as a lot of fanfic authors make him. Hope that continues.

Good work. Looking forward to more!

I very much like the reasoning behind Voldemort's refusal to kill Lily, it is one of the things that has always left me baffled in canon. Er, yeah, anyhow, nice handling.

Ah! So that's how Harry became the Boy-Who-Vanished. Nice nice. Can't wait till the next update.

Probably the mst unusual variation of the death of Lilly=James=Tom. AND how Harry survived. What about Sirius? Who will find out about the Potters?
Harry will get his letter on his 11th birthday. His first meeting with humans.

Now you have me hooked. As with the other stories of yours that I have read, it took a while. Now I'm hooked and the possibilities of Harry having no outside contact except house elves, that's good. A totally new take. Never been a fan of AU, but I'm starting to like it. Still haven't got the hook from Keith, yet. Maybe later. You've got me hooked.

Oh, loved the one-shot before you started this one. LOVED it. Keep going.

This is a slick plot. Plus, your style and detail make this fun and easy to read.

An interesting view of the Fidelius. In someways it makes more sense your version than what has been presented in the books. Can't wait to see how this develops with the house elves raising Harry, if that is the direction you are going in.

Dorothy,

Great story so far! I've always wondered about this. If the Fidelius was to protect the family, it should have stayed up as long as one family member was alive, therefore Hagrid et al. should never have been able to find Harry, or even have known about it. Going to be interesting to see how you develop this. I assume that somehow Jame's and Lily's bodies have to be found, otherwise there would never be any curiousity as to the 'boy-who-vanished', all people would know is that Voldemort was gone, and maybe not even that, he would just disappear.

Fascinating, though I wonder what curse Peter was under, I suspect he was under one personally, though I could be wrong. Oh the possibilities that will come from this, can't wait to see the next chapter, thank you.

Loving it. I was afraid for a minute, that Peter would find Harry alive and try staying at Dower house. I know your summary said he would be raised by the house elves, but it just seemed like what would happen. Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter.

Harry will be raised by house elves ? Looks like this will be very interesting :)

Interesting...

That is something that JKR has never gone into detail about.

If the Secret Keeper is still alive, then there is no reason for the Fidelius Charm to fail...So, how was it that Sirius and Dumbledore knew that the Potters were even attacked?

Even if the Secret Keeper dies, we aren't sure that the "secret" would be revealed. It might be that only those that know the secret already can continue using the location until their deaths and then the location would be lost forever...

Very excellent and interesting points to base the beginnings of the story. Looking forward to the future releases.

Good chapter. Somehow, despite how his situation was forced on him, I'm not sympathetic for Peter. I think Sirius and Remus had it right when they said he should have died. Loyalty, eh? He should have went to Dumbledore, gotten his family to safety, and stayed strong.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes next. It was a long wait for an update, and now I feel like my appetite has just been whetted, not sated. Please, please upate soon. I like how this has gone so far, and I can't wait to see Dumbledore's reaction.
