Brilliant chapter. And why, just why I feel it's going to be amusing to see the Addams family live in the house of Riddle? Of course there is stillthe added benefit of Dumbledore seeing Harry's address in his files at some point. That's assuming he does bother with files of course.

That house and The Addams...I have a feeling that the Shrieking Shack is going to be occupied soon. Heh, right next to Hogwarts.

Very good chapter. Morticia and Gomez are out playing Dumbledore at every turn. I'm kind of surprised considering how skilled dumbledore is at politics and manipulationg people. Still, this is the Addams Family. They have that effect.
:P

This "harder to let" property wouldn't happen to be located in Little Hangleton, would it? :)
I had to laugh at the list of Morticia's demands. Hogwarts is so backwards that the idea of having a PTA and parent-teacher conferences just jars something chronic with the concept of the place.
I can just see Dumbledore now, trying to explain exactly why Snape doesn't take proper precautions in his classes, or how a Defence teacher is allowed into the building when he's got a link to Voldemort, not to mention the general lack of supervision of the children and the sorts of dangers abundant in the Forbidden Forest!
I'm looking forward to the Hogwarts Express...!

Awesome story! I like that the Addamses take care of their family and don't take any bull from Dumbledore or anyone. Also a that life for Remus is much more enjoyable. I'm looking forward how they will handle the corrupt British ministry and press.

Let me guess about the house that Lupin found... "empty for years. Prior tenants thought it was haunted. The current owner is an absentee landlord, and doesn’t care whether it’s haunted or not. There’s a caretaker for the grounds [...] Place even comes with its own graveyard"
Is it the Riddle house at Little Hangleton? :-)

Oh for crying out loud! The Addams moving into Riddle Manner? I sure didn't see that coming!
Or I could be really jumping to conclusion...?

Y'know what I find funniest about this, dear lady?
My late love Tasha used to dress like Carolyn Jones (it amused her immensely, being a goth as she was) and would tease me that I belonged in a pinstripe suit.
It makes it all the easier to visualize what you've written, and I end up laughing so hard it hurts.
You've brought back good memories with this entertaining story, and I'm most grateful.

Hope you didn't mind "Dr. MacIntyger". Had no idea what she looked like, so I didn't put in a description.
Glad you're enjoying it. I aim to please.

I've told Kinsfire this, but you need to be told directly, as well: each word, each nuance, is perfection. I hear Morticia's voice, the susurration as her dress brushes the ground, the hidden steel behind the gentility Gomez displays, and I came close to weeping with the courtesy you--and, through you, the Addamses have paid to Remus.
I only pray that I can someday write as well as you: you have a gift that inspires as well as awes, and a facility for bringing out not only the best in the characters depicted, but in limning their souls in a way even their creators may not have imagined.

You know, one of the odd things about this story is that both the HP world and the Addams Family are built around oddness (in comparison to the mundane world). It seems terribly strange to realize that HP's magical England actually makes the Addamses seem normal and reasonable.
I absolutely adore this story, and look forward to reading more of it.

Great chapter! The house Remus and Morticia were speaking of at the end sounds like it could be the Riddle House. That's what I'm predicting anyways. I also enjoyed how the American's deal with werewolves as well as the intergration of Remus into the family. Can't wait for what happens next.
